These cameras allow professors and students to display documents or objects over a call and on the projector in a classroom. If you are back on the home screen of Crowd Mics, but the meeting is still in process, open up a chat with us and we can help get you access to the meeting so you can end it and create a new meeting.Īlong with sharing Computer and Laptop sources in a classroom and within Zoom, some classrooms have been outfitted to have a Document Camera that is also sharable content. If there is still a meeting in process when you go to the classroom, simply click on the blue x in the upper right hand corner of the iPad and end the current meeting.If all else fails, try uninstalling the application and reinstalling it. We have come across some issues with the Crowd Mics system and we have listed the most common issues and their fixes here. As Facilitators, we will follow the teachers instructions on setting up local meetings and creating those for professors. This is controlled by an iPad located on the instructor's desk, where you can create local meetings for students to connect up. Common brands found on the USU Logan Campus are the DMPS 300, the RMC3, and the CP3.Ĭrowd Mics allow students to connect up to a local room event and use their cellphones as Microphones in Zoom calls. This device takes commands from the Touch Panel and relays the commands to the different pieces of technology found in the classroom, such as the Codec. This device controls all of the equipment in the room, such as the projector, the TV, the Codec functions, and more and is controlled by the Touch panel and the xPanel. The Crestron Processor is a device that is connected directly to the Codec in a classroom. The picture below shows an explanation of how to use the Codec Remote and what each button does and how it interacts with the call. Some of our more unique classroom use a Codec Remote instead of using an actual Touch Panel or xPanel. xPanels are found in rooms eaturing the Huntsman Hall (HH) Touch Panels, the SCCE Touch Panels, and the Old Crestron Touch Panels. This simple program performs the same functions as the Touch Panel associated in that room. The xPanel is an application that Facilitators use to control the Touch panel interface fr om their Facilitator Station. ![]()
